Not getting free full trial of onecare RRS feed

    Hi,

    I installed the free trail. Much to my surprise I was charged. Then I called and talked to someone in support. They cancelled my subscription and told me to redown load. I did that. Now it is only giving me a 15 day trail. Why is that? Can I get the full trail? I would appreciate any help you can give me.

  • I just located your post in the off topic folder and have moved it to the Install/Activate folder.

    When you originally installed OneCare, you chose to subscribe/activate, which starts your subscription period immediately.  This was noted in the dialogs that you clicked through when subscribing. You did not need to subscribe until the trial expired or the reminders annoyed you enough.

    Any time you reinstall OneCare, you will only get a 15 day trial period. This is by design to prevent abuse of the trial period.

    Your only solution at this point is to reinstall OneCare each time it expires (or within a few days on either side).
