WOL Add-ins permission question

Question
-
I am posting this here, as it seem to be the most likely place, as the issue is software, or at least my inability to use the software
I cannot seem to figure out how to get the WOL shutdown to work, all is install, functioning, great add in, these add ins really show the potenial of the WHS
specifics:
XP pro client, XP home remote
Both machines have the same login name, (it is my name, not administrator or admin)
The login is the admin for each machine
Both use the same password, and this is the password for the WHS/console
Wake up works fine on the target machine, the XP pro.
SHUT DOWN will not work, with or with out firewalls, Norton
I do not see any hardware settings that seem relevant
All machines share files across the LAN
However, if I use remote desktop through the add in, and run a command prompt, the supplied code line entered in the prompt does shut down the target machine, no problem
What am I missing? How do I "set permissions" to allow the automated shut down of the target via the add in,
Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, seemed more "software" than "developer" in nature, and the WOL thread is 18 pages, I have read it 10 times, search MS for the key to permissions, but, pretty much at a dead end.
Thank you,
MR

Even if you log in password is the same as the Administrator passsword on the WHS there is one element missing.
Windows XP also has a "Hiden Administrator Account" .
You can see this account if you log off and hit "Alt./Ctrl/Delete" twice - it is this "Administrator" that the password must be the same as the WHS Administrator's password.
After setting the Administrator passsword same as WHS Administrator's password WOL should be able to shut down your XP PC.
Please note - If you have any Vista PC the instruction is different and can be found in the original thread for this ADD IN.
Good Luck

Moving to developers forum, as this is where add-in discussion takes place.Sunday, August 26, 2007 4:42 AMModerator

Ok, now I get it, that "secret" administrator account was never used, never set up, never had a pass word, wonder why they set it up like that?
Turning off and on like a pro now, learned something new, thank you
