    1. Block Money from accessing the internet using the Windows Firewall. Details below.

    2. With Money 2005, whenever you open your Money file, click below the
password field to select "I want to sign in to Money directly,
without access to all online services." then proceed.

Money versions after Money 2005 allow you to remove the LiveId, but they will not open a UK Money file. You could do a QIF export from Money 2005 of all of your accounts, and import them into a new file. The new file could be a file with no password or conventional password in Money 2005, or you could switch to Sunset before the import of the many files.

    =====Firewall Microsoft Money 2005===================

Run "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" which you will
    find in Windows Administrative Tools,

     Click on "Outbound Rules",
    select "New Rule" >

     select "Program" >
     select "This Program" and
    browse for the path
      (which should be "c:\ProgramFiles
    (x86)\Microsoft Money Plus\MNYCoreFiles\msmoney.exe") >
      [ "%ProgramFiles\Microsoft Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles\msmoney.exe"

      !do not click enter key!

    Action:Block
     select
"Block this connection" > leave the defaults >

      and then name your
new rule something like "Microsoft Money block outbound".  Simply
run "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" which you will find
in Windows Administrative Tools, Click on "Outbound Rules", select
"New Rule" > select "Program" > select "This Program" and browse
for the path (which should be "c:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Microsoft
Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles\msmoney.exe") > select "Block this
connection" > leave the defaults > and then name your new rule
something like "Microsoft Money block outbound".

Click Finish at the end. Expect red keep-out symbol in front of nane
    to show Action:Block.

That does not look right... I probably mis-entered something. For another description of how to do the firewall stuff, see https://microsoftmoneyoffline.wordpress.com/2016/06/06/eliminating-the-online-updatingdelays-and-errors-when-opening-money/
