  • When the 90 days free trial of OC has expired. your OC will no longer be downloading updates.

Since you have a CD of OC. Click the subscribe button on OC main window, it will guide you through activating OC.

Or alternatively, you can got to the homepage of OneCare, thats www.onecare.com. Click on get it now. Click on the Activate a product key. From there you will also be able to activate your onecare and your product key.

  • i have gone through these steps and when i enter my product key it says...

The product key entered is already in use.

If you are installing OneCare on a 2nd or 3rd computer or you are reinstalling OneCare, you do not need to use your product key again. Instead, close this browser window, return to OneCare, and click Activate again. On the Sign in page, sign in with the Windows Live ID that you originally used to install OneCare.

If you get this message more than once, report it as a recurring problem.

Do you have the product key of OneCare?

If you do, check this link:

    http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

That's the FAQ guide to reach support.

If you don't, call the store where you bought your onecare!
