WHS Launchpad not starting from Windows 10 PC RRS feed

  • I have upgraded the WHS server 2011 and have been reconnecting the PCs to the new server.   Everything is working fine except I can not run the Lauchpad from the Windows 10 PC.  What seems odd is Dashboard and the backups are working fine on this PC.  I tried setting it up in compatibility mode but that did not work either.  When I try to run Launchpad it asks "Do you want to allow the App to make changes...." I respond yes and nothing happens.  Any ideas what I'm missing.

    According to your description, my understanding is that it failed to open Launchpad on Windows 10.

    On the client’s side, open:
    C:\Users\[current logon user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation

    There would be 2 folders(DashboradClient.exe_... and Lauchpad.exe_...). Rename these folders, such as add .old at the end of the name. You can undo the change via changing the name back to the original one if there is any problem later.

    Then, restart the client and try again.

    ist easier to bring Launchpad back to work by using deinstall/reinstall Connector Software.
