I recently tried to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium. I got so far through the process, but it never did install. I called Microsoft Support and my only option was to reformat the partition where the OS was and install 7 as a new install, which
I did. Prior to this I used the Easy Transfer software to back up my files on CD's. My CD's are full, and when i run the Easy Transfer utility again to copy to my laptop, it says the files are copying. After I copy both CD's, I can't find any of the files
on my computer.
I also have a backup of MS Money files that my laptop won't restore.
I have a Dell laptop and since the 7 install i don't have any of the Dell installed software, like the DVD software. Could the reason my laptop is not reading the files because of the application i used to burn the cd's is not on my laptop now?
