The 0xC004F00F error is a 'beyond tolerance' one - you'll have to activate over the telephone.
To activate by phone, click on the Start button, then type
    SLUI   4
in the Search box, and hit the Enter key - this should bring up the telephone activation options. Select your country, and then follow the instructions. When you get through, you will be answered by an automated system - DO NOT respond when asked which service you require. This should force an operator to pick up the call, and you can explain the circumstances to them, and they will assist your activation.

  • Hello bjbalfe,

By Registering, do you mean Activating or Validating?

(NOTE: Registration is voluntary and sort of like send in the Registration card when you get a new TV...it has no effect on Windows whatsoever)

    Thank you,

    Darin MS
