Storachi.sys giving high DPC Latency RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

For a couple of weeks now I have had a sound issue where I get a crackling sound whenever audio is being outputted. It isn't a constant crackle, but rather just a crackle every few seconds. Also when using VLC I do have experience some sound drop outs, that happen for approximately half a second and occur every ten seconds or so.

I have looked into the issue myself and latency mon software has shown me that the Storachi.sys is the process causing the high DPC Latency on my computer. I've tried updating numerous drivers such as graphics, and LAN, but unfortunately these attempts were to no avail.

    Here's my computers specification :

    Operating System
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
    CPU
    Intel Core i7 5930K @ 3.50GHz 33 °C
