Nigh unto 'get rid of this computer' slow RRS feed

  • Question

  • Within the last two weeks our computer has all but ceased to function for us and Live One Care doesn't seem to be able to identify any viruses.  We've run tuneup and Windows updates and doesn't seem to be working.  Is there anything else Live One Care can do to eliminate any bugs we might have?

  • There can be any number of reasons for computer slow performance, but if you believe that the PC may be infected by something that OneCare isn't catching, please contact support. They may be able to identify a conflicting program, which is another common reason for decreased PC performance.
Note that Tune-up doesn't really address issues that would make a significant performance difference. Defrag and disk cleanup can have a minor impact, but neither would be apparent. Windows Updates simply gets the latest patches and security updates to prevent problems down the road and the run of the malware removal tool.
