    We also have a bug that if you click on the "Edit" button twice (After editing it the first time), you will not get Editor rather show a text box with the content in Raw HTML.

    Are you getting javascript errors when loading the thread page? The editor is a javascript control. This could happen if:

    1) Browser is blocking javascript
    2) Page is still loading while you click on the edit function (thus, the javascript is not yet loaded)
    3) In rare occasions, I've seen 3rd party add-ins or clients blocking javascript
    4) Something to try, Go to Tools, Internet Options, Security tab. Click on trusted sites, type in .microsoft.com (uncheck Require Server Verification (https).).....
