Invalid Product Key RRS feed

  • Question

  • I get the disk-write error too. I've checked the product key sticker on the side which is valid, the make of the pc writing is in black and the operating system is xp professional. I've done disk error check and I've only had a non genuine thing pop up since I had a virus. I've also got approx 50gig space.

  • Hello Margaret

    Thank you for visiting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. I understand the inconvenience you are currently
    experiencing. We have seen numerous issues from customers who were provided a Volume License Key (VLK) on their computer that has either been blocked by Microsoft or generated by a fake product key code generator. WGA currently provides checks for these
    types of product keys and prompts the user to notify them of this situation. More invalid product keys are being identified daily and WGA is constantly refreshing its database with these newly identified product keys and immediately blocks them. Below I have extracted a portion of the MGA results to share.

    WGA Data-->
    Validation Status: Invalid Product Key
    Validation Code: 8
    Online Validation Code: N/A
    Cached Validation Code: N/A
    Windows Product Key: *****-*****-WFKD7-PJBP2-TGVCF
    Windows Product Key Hash: j/CDNx1XSI9Q6fvxo8uWNYJVCl0=
    Windows Product ID: 55274-644-4550851-23885
    Windows Product ID Type: 1
    Windows License Type: Volume
    Windows OS version: 5.1.2600.2.00010100.2.0.pro

    As a rule, VL editions should not be sold to individual consumers. Businesses, schools and governments normally use VL editions for flexibility in installing many computers.  Also, Volume Licenses for Windows XP is Upgrade licenses ONLY and cannot be used as the original or base license for a new computer.  Margaret if this is a corporate system please ask your systems administrator to logon to the eOpen site (
    https://eopen.microsoft.com/EN/default.asp) and confirm what your company’s assigned VLK. If this computer is not a corporate system please uninstall Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007. Next please restart your computer and try to Validate once again.

    Also I have more bad news. Your Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 was installed with a now blocked VLK. Below is an extract I have taken to share with you.

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
    Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 114 Blocked VLK 2
    OGA Version: N/A, 0x80070002
    Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002
    Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1

    You have a couple options available. First you should have been given the option to "Get Genuine" when you failed Windows XP and OGA validation. Here you may purchase a Windows XP and OGA Kit from Microsoft and become genuine. Next you can take the software back where you made the original purchase and either request a genuine copy of Office or return your monies. Next I would recommend for you to file a piracy report by following the directions @ http://www.microsoft.com/piracy. Please locate "Reporting Piracy" in the upper left corner.

    Thank you,

    Stephen

  • In trying to do the right thing, I recently purchased the Windows Genuine Advantage Kit. I did everything exactly the way I was supposed to and received the Product Key. I am also receiving the same message about the disk-write error and possiblly low on disk space (not the issue). After several fruitless hours being shuttled aroung at the Genuine Advantage Help Desk and then Technical support, I am no further ahead. I ran the diagnostic report...HELP!
