Having products that require down payment RRS feed

  • We recently installed crm4.0 an have added all fixed pricing items in to the system.  We now have items relating to leasing where on the quotes and orders needs to have the down payment and then the monthly fee.  What's the easiest way to get this done?  Thanks for any suggestions.

    Note that our monthly lease rates is very simple calculation.  The down payment is determined by the companies D&B findings.  So it's either 25% or 50% down.  Then remaining balance times 15% for either 2 years or 3 year term.

  • You might want to consider adding a product to inventory called Down Payment with a price of $1 and a cost of whatever the cost is and another product named Monthly Payment with a similar price and cost.  Your users can then add these products to the Quote and Order as needed.  They can leverage the quantity field to get the Price required.

    If you want to do something more sophisticated, then you will probably need to consider some customization to the system.
