CRM 2011: Email attribute "from", how to predefine it? RRS feed

    Hello!

    Where can I find the rulles, describing which field should be predefined (and it's value) by creating of a new record in dynamics? I already use the mapping table and it is usefull for some entities and fields, but there are no rules for such fields like "from" in email.

    Hi,

    You can set this configurations in some type of fields, for example bit and picklist you can define a default value. For the other fields you cannot via configuration set default values. As alternative you can set the default values in load of entity. In the onload event in Javascript you can verify if is in create form and set the default values.
