Windows could not be validated as genuine - please help me on this one. RRS feed

  • i have windows 7 ultimate and lately i am receiving a message at my start-up that my windows 7 is not genuine and lead me to the validation site of microsoft asking me to buy the same product. please tell me why this happens. i run the mgadiag tool and this is the result.

    You have a version of Windows 7 Ultimate installed from a HP recovery disk, onto a Toshiba machine, using a Blocked Lenovo Key, and a hacker's loader program to hold everything together for a while.
     
    If you bought this installation in good faith you should demand a refund from the vendor!
     
    Doubts must also exist about your Office installation, sin ce it's a version that is only sold through either Academic Licensing, or Volume Licensing, and is not normally available to the general public.

    You're welcome  - I have no idea what recourse to legal redress you may have in that part of the world (I don't ever remember seeing a CST timestamp in this forum before!) but your technician may like to know that at the very least he's guilty of pirating, and very possibly fraud as well.
