special key to stop a program RRS feed

  • Hey Guys!

    I've wanted to make a application that stops when you press "T"+"O"+"M".

    But I don't know how to do it :(

    can anybody help me?

  • One approach would be to launch a thread whose sole purpose is to wait for that sequence of characters to be typed. If "TOM" is keyed in, then it signals the main thread to shut down.

    The implementation will depend on what language and what framework you are using, which you haven't mentioned.
