Windows is not genuine RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I sign into my computer it tells me that Windows is not genuine and a pop up says to make it genuine now or ask me later. I have done both and it does not do anything. I thought it might have been a virus so I did a scan and cleaned off all the threats and quarantined items but it did not change anything.

  • You have a Volume License version of Windows 7 Enterprise installed.  This license is not valid unless you work for a business enterprise that purchased the license for deployment.  You will need to contact HP Support and request their HP OEM Windows Recovery DVD and perform a "clean install".
