Wrong area but help please..404 on responses

  I have no idea what I've messed up but every time I respond or create a thread and check the "Alert Me" option I get a 404-error.

   

  Then when I go back my response (or topic creation) is there but the last sentence is always in a larger font.

   

  Further when it does alert me and I click on the link enclosed in the email I get a warning about not being configured for alerts properly but near as I can tell it's all good and nothing is amiss.

   

  Any thoughts?

  Umm...and now I got funky boxes...?...errrp
