Question

If you are using a Director does the routing of the Edge server for the Webconferenincg and A/V need opened to the Director or does the communication go straight to the interface on the Internal Enterprise Pool server? How I see it only the IM communication needs routed to the Director.
Please explain where the ports need opened? I have read the documenataion on the ports but just need it clarified.

hi
You can learn more about the director role refer to below links:

I think the edge server roles's internal network card all should be configured with the director server.

If you are trying to lock down the edge server's internal nic. and set it up to route only to one device. Be carefull. Based on traces I have taken the edge server's internal nic has to be able to route to clients as well. The audio traffic for a voice call between 2 clients, one internal and one external will route directly to the AV edge. So the internal nic needs to be able to route to all subnets.
Hope that helps.
