Another eBay Windows 7 Sealed Retail Box, This Time a GLC-00182 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Two sealed retail boxes of Win 7 Ultimate were purchased on eBay.  I had no reason to think that these were in any way counterfeit, but now I need to check, please.

So is this a MSDN key, or a real one?

Reason: the 068 in the PID:   00426-068-0598015-86785.

Not activated, because no need at this time.

    Thank you!

    Noel,

Thank you.  Can we please get David to confirm?  When I write the eBay seller, it is good to have full confirmation.  And unfortunately, yes, I know the drill by now!  LOL!!  I am truly amazed.  These two boxes look and feel very real and legit.

BTW, I installed this same product key again.  Different PID from the first install above!

The only differences were the install disc and the HDD that I used.  Same product key, same computer.   The last batch of code is what is different:

    First PID:         00426-068-0598015-86785

    New PID:        00426-068-0598015-86740

    Thanks!

  • As Noel says, 068 is MSDN but I understand the need for official confirmation. David is MS staff so you will need to wait until Monday.

  • Yes, the key used is from MSDN.

  • David,

Thank you.  This particular counterfeit was spectacular!  I would have never suspected it.

    Thanks again,
