  • Looking at the specs they perform nearly as well as WD's SE16 drives and actuallly better in some areas. I couldn't care less about the green part but the drive isn't bad at all. All in all, they'd be very nice for WHS.

  • these are excellent drives, and the 500GB model will be used in the T7-HSA (next month)

     

    the review : http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/121499/tranquil-t7hsa.html did not use the WD drive, but when it does we will be looking at peak power of 16W (or thereabouts !!)

    But the green part means less power consumption which means it is cheaper for you to run.  If you don't care about that then you either don't pay your own electrical bills or are infinitely wealthy!
