Set up a Domain Name-Rejects Live ID or Password RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows Home Server loaded on a box I built.  I have Power Pack 3.

I'm trying to configure remote access.  I have a Windows Live ID.  It is in the form of username@live.ca

I can log into my Live Account on the web.  When I go through the wizard to set up the domain name, I need to enter my Live ID and Password.  I first tried my password with 12 characters (letters, numbers, and symbols).  I know it must be 7 characters and thought 12 might be too long.  I changed the password to 7 characters still with letters, numbers and symbols.  It still rejects my userid and password.  I also have a hotmail.com userid and it didn't like it either.

Appreciate any help you can provide.  I have no idea what to try next.
