Image Size (Export) too small RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I d use three images (each 5184*3456) to stitch one Panorama. There is some overlapping, but the full resolution sould be at least 10'000 pixels width (after croping). ICE2 gives 100% only as 3395 pixels. I tried to use the JPG and CR2 file of the Images and both failed.

I found in this Forum a thread: "Problem with panorama size" (I'm not allowed to post links...), but as I used the JPG's too, I don't think that matches.

    My Setup:

Windows 7 - 64-bit, ICE 2.0.2.0: Simple Panorama - Stereographic - Auto Croping (just a few pixles horizontal) - JPEG Export

I installed Microsoft Camera Codec Pack (6.3.9721.0) , but no changes. I tried some other three pictures (same camera) that I already stitched with ICE 1.4.4.0 and the same result: only 3703 pixles width (the image using 1.4: width: 9003 pixles)

Any Help would be very appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Peter

  • We've fixed this problem in the latest update (ICE version 2.0.3). Stereographic and Orthographic projections are now saved at more reasonable resolutions.

Please download the latest version from the ICE home page (http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/ice/), or simply run ICE and accept the automatic update.

  • Please try a projection other than Stereographic.

  • I tried most of the others and it looks like the problem with the resolution exists only at Stereographic. Unfortunately Stereographic looks best...
