Office: mac 2008 Home and Student Edition RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought Office: mac 2008 Home and Student Edition a few years ago when I purchased my Mac Desktop. I bought this with the understanding I could share it with my other home computers. I recently bought a Macbook but there is no slot for a CD in this computer. I have the CD and product key and went to speak with a customer representative online who was unable to help me with this and has directed me to this forum for help. Can anyone weigh in please?

  • Hi, Jess2121.

Perhaps on your old Mac (that has the DVD drive) you could copy all files and folders from the CD disc to a USB thumb drive.

Plug the USB thumb drive in on your new machine and then install from there.

    Just an idea.

    Good luck!

    Best wishes, Davin Mickelson

  • First, this forum is for questions related to Microsoft Certifications.

Second - you can download the dmg file from CNET here.
