OneCare removed a file that disabled my ability to print. RRS feed

    OneCare deleted something when it discovered the otwycal(sp) virus/worm and now I can't print.  Help!


    When I try to add a printer it says print spooler service is not running.

  • did you try reinstalling the printer driver and try again to add a printer.. maybe it just needed a driver reinstall, better yet keep it up to date with the latest drivers. Smile

  • Try starting the print spooler service. To start the print spooler service: Start>Run, type "services.msc" without the quotes in the Run box. Scroll down to Print Spooler and double click it. Press the start button to start the service and chech that the startup type is set to Automatic.

    Print spooler is not listed.  Like I said earlier, Onecare deleted something and the spooler service is not available.
