Asyncronous service is always using CPU RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a CRM 2011 that has a tendency to use a LOT of cpu for the Async Service. The system has 20GB of RAM and 4 cpus (virtual) and the Async Service uses 25-80% of the cpu power. How can I se what the **** is going on to start with and secondly, what can be done? The server is a full deployment, but the IIS isn't using all that much cpu or memory so I don't think it's a hardware issue either.

I don't have have suspect workflows that I can see, there are a few that waits for two weeks on open cases. There's also an Exact Target solution that have some sort of async work being done, does anyone know if Exact Target is prone to cause problems with CRM 2011?

What is a "normal" load from the Async Service really, I can't say I've seen anything like this earlier and there's not that much in the async table, 3000 something rows.

    Very confusing.

    Regards
