We bought our Dell Computer from a local retailer in the High St, Windows XP was pre-installed, and therefore did not come with a CD. We still have the receipt, but the shop has since closed. Dell ,from the certificate on the side of the computer, state that this machine was intended for the Asian market and is not there problem. The certificate number appears to be from another PC, although the certificate appears to be genuine. This is an office computer and I do not wish to remove XP Proffesional as this would cause a problem with our network and backup proceedure, is there a genuine and safe means of overcoming this problem. The computer was purchased in good faith and I wish to resolve this quickly.
