Microsoft Visual Stupid Debug Console

    Question

  • Hey friends. Thanks in advance for any help. I am learning so be patient with me. When I debug a program and after the program does what it is intended to do it prompts me to "Press any key to close this window..." However, before that message, the Console tells the location of the program for example " C:\Users\Sith\Desktop\Programs\Game\Debug\Game.exe (Process 14432 exited with code 0." I would like this to not show at all. Is there any way to get rid of this line?

    Right click in the output debug pane and uncheck the option for Process Exit Messages

  • You can 'Automatically close the console when debugging stops'  ('Debug->Options..->Debugging->General') - and use one of the workarounds

    to get the output.

    Another way avoiding (both) messages, would be to debug your app as a child process of 'cmd.exe', which needs (please note the remark about native debugger)

    Changes in 'Project->Properties->Configuration Properties'

    And as already mentioned in 'Debug->Options..->Debugging->General' 'Automatically close the console when debugging stops' checked.

    No warranty

    With kind regards
