Problem with windows 7 can't click on anything! RRS feed

    Hi, i have been having problems with windows 7 since getting my laptop repaired. When i turn on my laptop everything seems normal. Once i arrive at the desktop screen I can't click on anything! the start menu doesn't work and when i try to use ctrl alt delete i get some sort of error sound and a box with a red X in it, no text. when i move the mouse over the icons they change colour slightly so I assume that means it doesn't have anything to do with the mouse.

    If anybody knows what the problem is that I'm having any help would be much appreciated.
