Cannot get network adapter - drivers to work with Windows Home Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Network adapter issues; D-Link DGE-530T Gb E-Net adapter would not install at WHS install time, or with D/L'd driver updates for Win 2003 or Win XP. However, an Intel Pro/100 M E-Net adapter from the last century installed instantly. Are certain adapters just not allowed (for security or other reasons) to run with WHS? Thx, yesman ?

No, it should work.  You might try installing the 2003 driver through Device Manager (assuming that you were trying to use some sort of exe file that might have balked at the OS version).

  • Also you can install the drivers after Windows Home Server is installed.
