Problem accessing the MCP member site. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I received my MCP ID and Access Code a couple of days ago from Microsoft and
wanted to access the MCP member site:https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp

Upon entering this page with my Windows Live ID, I entered my MCP ID and the
    temporary access code.

After clicking the "next" button i see that the site is trying to load for a
while but then nothing happens. No error messages.

Just to be sure, I deleted all temp files, history and cookies, and tried
again but still the same results. The site starts seems to start loading and
    then nothing happens.

I've also tried to login the MCP member site using 2 different browsers and
on several different computers at different locations, but made no difference.

I've called the regional support line several times and their advice was for me to retry later.

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to resolve this?

  • Jeff,

I received an email from MS MCP support stating they have been experience technical difficulties for 2 or so weeks but expect to have the problem resolved and to continue to try to register on the MCP site every 24-48 hours.

Sure enough, after 5 days, i was able to register successfully.

    Thanks for asking Jeff.  :)

  • Is the windows live email address you're trying to login with the same as the email address used to register for the exam?

Yes.  It is the same ID.

i've also created a new Windows live ID just to see if it made a difference and it didn't.
