  • Question

  • Hey folks, made a huge mistake!

I have 2 folders using the 'echo' option.

I mistakenly added a very important folder into the right hand folder and after sync'ing there are no files in there what so ever - but the folders still remain.

I have checked the recycle bin and nothing is there. The 'send deleted files to recycle bin was definitely checked.

There was about 10gb of important files in there and now cant find them anywhere.

Am I stuffed? I am gutted beyond belief, any help would be greatfully received, thankssss

  • I don't think you can put 10 GB of files into the recycle bin on a *remote* drive. Even if done manually, Windows would say something like 'to big for recycle bin, do you want to delete permanently...?'. On network drives there is no recycle bin at all.

Sorry for your loss, but there are tools to recover those files, for example http://ntfsundelete.com/. Just google undelete.
