crm 2016 email router pop3 message process problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

Using CRM 2016 onpremise ENU, with email router 2016 ENU (update 0.1 installed on both). Have the HUN language pack installed on the server.

My problem is that the email router wont recognize a single pop3 message. All configurations are OK, email router connects to the pop3 mailbox just fine. Got a contact record with the incoming email to recognize. It always detects empty sender, subject fields, and wont create incoming email records:

#49073 - Validating the email message with subject "" from  to  for delivery to http://localhost:5555/<ORGNAME>

#60263 - The email message with subject "" in mailbox <myemailtest>@gmail.com for delivery to http://localhost:5555/<ORGNAME> was rejected. Reason: InvalidSender.

    The things I tried:

    • Server side sync produces the exact same behaviour...
    • Tried gmail, other freemail, and my own mail server's pop3
    • Tried vanilla 2016, update 0.1 on both server and router and vica-versa
    • UTF8-US-ISO encoding of the sender name, email message, plain-html message, doesnt matter...

The ONLY email it recognized is the welcome mail that my mail server sends to new mailboxes:

    Return-Path: <mycontactincrm@mytesthost.domain>
    Delivered-To: <mc@mytesthost.domain>

  • Hi g,

Does your pop3 mbox has multiple aliases? Could you also please check why your from address in the email is in this format? We had few issues with lotus notes/email router when there were multiple email ids pointing to same mailbox.

    From: =?iso-8859-2?Q?_G=E1bor?= <mycontactincrm@mytesthost.domain>

  • Hi!

No multiple aliases. I just rewrote the email addresses, to not expose client email to the net. Its a valid mail address. Also it doesn't matter if i use iso88592 characters in the name as above, or just plain simple US characters. Won't work either way...

    Thanks

  • Hi g,

Did you find what was causing this? I'm having exactly the same problem.

    Thanks

  • This is a problem for us too.

We were running CRM 2015 Online with Email Router 2015, using POP3/SMTP, all was working well.
After upgrading both to 2016, the Email Router can open the mailbox, but finds no content in the email:

    06/21/2016 16:18:38 : #1866 - Checking the email message with subject "" in mailbox abc@abc.com for delivery to <deployment name>
06/21/2016 16:18:39 : #60263 - The email message with subject "" in mailbox abc@abc.com for delivery to <deployment name> was rejected. Reason: InvalidSender.

To see if the problem was with the Email Router server, I had a new server built and made a fresh install of Email Router 2016 - the problem is the same.

  • Same problem here.

    Is there a solution available?

  • It can be solved with a hotfix from Microsoft. Look here: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/p/160801/547953

  • Hi,

Please put a screenshot of system settings, server profile and mailbox to analyse the issue.
