  • Nvidia Corporation has recently unveiled its new mobile graphics chip aimed at high-performance laptops for computer enthusiasts. The new GeForce 8700M GT is a pre-overclocked version of the GeForce 8600M GT. Nvidia GeForce 8600M-/8700M-series graphics processors are based on the G84 graphics chips, which feature 32 stream processors, 16 texture modules, 8 raster operation units and a 128-bit memory controller. The new GeForce 8700M GT graphics processor is clocked at 625MHz/1250MHz (base clock/shader clock) and is designed to feature 1600MHz memory compared to its predecessor: GeForce 8600M GT featured 475MHz/950MHz clock-speeds and 1400MHz memory.
