Cannot read my windows 7 product key RRS feed

  • Question

  • My hard drive failed and needed to be replaced with a new one.  It was covered by warranty at Bestbuy.  They replaced the hard drive and put windows 7 on.  i have not used my laptop much since it is a back up.  when i went to use it today it says it is not authenitc and i need to input my product key.  the problem is the label on the bottom of laptop is worn and unreadable.  Is there anyway to fix this, since i do not think i should have to purchase a new key

Did BestBuy return your old hard drive?

What media did they use for the reinstall?

For what version and edition of Windows is the COA sticker on your laptop?
