Why does Vista place two dashes in the Product Key number for the Office Home and Student 2007 that we are trying to install?.-- RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have purchased a genuine copy of Office 2007 that is "Certified For Windows Vista" which is already loaded on the computer.  when we tried to put the "Product Key number"  in, it was already placing the dashes in and it placed two (--_)dashes where there should have only been one.

Also the "Start" button is missing which is another reason that we are trying to re-install the new software.  Can you help?  Do we have to purchase another copy of the software that was already on the computer.
