Another windows not genuine AND I can't copy the diagnostic file to send along RRS feed

  • After reading several related topics that don't address my question, here it is:

    I'm getting a "Windows is not genuine" about six months after replacing a failing HD using the Acronis True image software that came with the dell/WD replacement drive. This morning it started telling me I couldn't save a file in Word, so I'm truly stuck. To top it off, I can't copy the data in the diagnostic to add to this question. Any ideas on:

    How to get the computer to let me copy a file so I can let you know what the diagnostic says?

    How to save files?

    How to prove the windows on the machine is genuine?

  • ignore the error message. it will still copy and paste.

  • You are not copying a file.  You are copying a report.  The tool places a copy of the report on your clipboard.  Simply use the Paste command or Cntl-V to paste the report into your reply here.
