PowerShell in Outlook RRS feed

  • Yo!

    I've been trying to figure out how to run certain PS scripts when receiving an Outlook email with a trigger word in the subject line. I've run into two issues with what I want to do;

    1. I'm not smart enough to create said... thing, and
    2. I haven't been able to find any valid examples. One for an older version of both PS and Outlook, but nothing for later versions.

    For an example, I want to reboot the server "SuperMachine1" by sending myself an email with "Reboot SuperMachine1" in the subject line. There will be a rule setup on my Outlook watching for "Reboot" in the subject line then take "SuperMachine1" as the variable. Outlook will fire up a script to perform the reboot of SuperMachine1.

    Does anyone have a reference URL or some first-hand knowledge of how I could make this happen?
