Dear IT assitance Team

I have recently experienced a serious problem with my compter, initially when i bought it, it came pre-instalt with the windows vista home basic and it experienced a problem in with it cannot not boot-up, the only CDs it came with are the drivers and utilities disc and the operating system-recovery DVD with i tried to use to recover the bad sectors but to no vail. with the very same recovery DVD, i re-installed the Vista Home Basic which cannot activate as it displayS the message that reads: "THE WINDOWS VISTA HOME BASIC PRODUCT KEY YOU TYPED IS INVALID FOR ACTIVATION", and gives the options of either - buy a new product key on line;
or - type a different product key
or - contact Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmdH to help resolve this

So i tried to use the try a different Keys option and typed the Keys on the bottom of my ccomptuter box which responded by giving me the messagef that reads: "THE PRODUCT KEY YOU HAVE ENTERED WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS EDITION OF WINDOWS VISTA, YOU MUST EITHER RUN WINDOWS VISTA SETUP OR ENTER A WINDOWS VISTA HOME BASIC PRODUCT KEY.
Now i'm clueless, i dont know what to do, please Advice

In order to receive the best support, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread.

If you do not have access to the Start Button:

1)    Login to Vista and click the option that brings up Internet Explorer.

2)    Type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 into the browser address bar.

3)    A window will come up asking if you want to “Run” or “Save”, Select “Run”

4)    When the program runs, click the “Continue” button, then click the “Copy” button.

5)    Return to this thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/thread/b47a3fab-9a72-414d-80fd-0fbdc78a296f.

6)    In a reply post, paste the Diagnostic Report.

Hello 3sets,

Could you report to us what edition of Windows Vista is listed on the Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) label on the bottom of your computer box? (Do not post the Product Key itself.)
