How to print to Console in Job Submission Filter RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am wondering whether there is some method to print messages to Console in a Job Submission Filter?

    Since I use job submission filter to find certain kind of job and reassign it to other cluster, I need to print out some messages to users to inform them something happens.

    Is it possible or not? Thanks in advance.

  • There isn't a bulit in mechanism for this today; we are looking into it for Version 3.

    In the meantime, you can use our API to cancel the job and and set the cancellation message to "moved to cluster X" or something like that.

  • Yeah, a job activation filter can cancel the job use the API and set the cancellation message. But can a job submission filter also do these like following codes?
    IScheduler scheduler = new Scheduler();
    scheduler.Connect("localhost");
    scheduler.CancelJob(jobID, message);
    scheduler.Dispose();
    Thanks.
