An incoming call was disconnected by the remote party before the application was given access to the telephony session RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone else seen this Exception when placing an outbound call?  It says "incoming" call but it happens during an outgoing call, which is strange.

Microsoft.SpeechServer.TelephonyException: An incoming call with id '617a2ca2-dedf-49e6-8c33-279ae264b743' was disconnected by the remote party before the application was given access to the telephony session.  The speech session was in state 'Opened'.

  • Aside from the word "incoming"[1], the exception message is correct.  An outgoing call from Speech Server has been answered then disconnected before Speech Server completed initialization.  If you look at the logs for this call, was there any noticible delay?  Or was it simply someone who didn't want to answer the call, and answered / hungup to stop the ringing?

[1] You have uncovered a minor bug; the exception message shouldn't say "incoming" since it's used for both incoming and outgoing.
