How to view new pano's? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just getting started with 360's. I have tried the PTGui trial and it works, and now am trying ICE, but don't know what viewer to use to see the final product.

  • So...nobody knows how to view 360 Panos created with ICE?

Not sure how useful ICE is if there's no way to view the output...

  • Like you I'm just looking at making 360's. I also tried PTGui but can't justify the cost at the moment. I've just done my first 360 with ICE and exported to a jpg. What I did next was to right click on the exported jpg and select 'Open With' then select 'PTGui Viewer'. Because we're using the trial version there's the PTGui logo watermark but it does allow you to evaluate your pictures.

With the one set of images I've tried so far I found the ICE program was quicker than PTGui but didn't stitch the individual images as well. Since ICE seems to be fully automatic and PTGui has extensive user control over the process I guess that's to be expected. I have also tried Hugin without any success but didn't understand many of the settings - I think there's a lot of time needed to get to grips with that software.
