Bluetooth Stereo Headphones only use left ear for phone calls. Can that switch to the right ear? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am hard of hearing, specifically voices, in my left ear. For some unknown reason the stereo headset (MOTOROKR S9) switches from stereo music to left ear for the phone, making me swap the headset so I can hear. Any help?

  • Possibly the phone profile is not stereo supported

  • I tried to be concise. Yes, the stereo part works on the headset,  and it's a Motorola S90 headset. There's downloads to make that happen. But when it switches to the phone, it turns off the right ear. I want to be able to have it keep both on or turn off the left ear. Motorola makes these headphones impossible to open and manipulate the wiring so I have to wait for an upgrade to the upgrade I got from Sprint (and again from T-Mobile but still no luck on the right ear hearing a phone call. Why would you answer a question with an answer as vague as this anyway?

  • Hello,

I don't know if this has been answered for you in any form, but here's the answer to your question. No. The reason being is that the right side of the Motorola Rokr S90 houses the speaker, and the microphone. The speaker is turned off to allow the microphone to function.

It sure seems to me Stephen that it was not vague.  If the stereo was shutting off during phone use, it sure doesn't appear to be supported. to me....
