Publishing Site - No Project Web App created

Question
-
Hello All,
i am very new to Project and am having an issue with it. Here are the steps that I take and the resulting issue.
1. I select New Basic Project Plan
2. Enter in some dummy steps like step 1 -7
3. Save the project
4. Go to project and Build Team
5. Save the team that I add.
6. Publish Site
7. Then go to Project > Project site
The result is that it takes me to the Project Web app and says " There is no site configured for this project."
I know that they have other sites created but someone made some changes to the setup and messed the whole thing up. I am not exactly sure what changed were made though.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi there,
Please verify from server settings of PWA (You need to have administartors rights for this):
2. Go to Workflow & enterprise Project type section
3. Click on Enterprise Project Types
4. Click the Basic project Plan from the lists of EPTs
5. Verify the Project site template from the bottom fo the page. It should have Microsoft project sites (default one ) or your custom template.
6. If you have custom template, choose the Microsoft project sites (default one) & Hit save.
7. Try to create a New Project from BAsic project plan & see if that helps.
You can verify Solutions activated from Solution gallery : (Site Actions> Site settings> Solutions)
http://servername/PWA/_catalogs/solutions/Forms/AllItems.aspxSelect the Template & see the solutions tab in ribbon shows Deactivate button. Try deactivating & again activate. Go to step 7.
Hope that helps.

Also, forgot to ask, when you create a new project from MS project & publsih it, does it pop up the message to create a site for the project? If yes, after publish do you see any error for Create WSS Site job type in Manage queue in server settings of PWA?

Hello Amit,
Thank you for taking the time. I followed the steps 1-7. Step 5: The default was the one already in there.
When I go to http://servername/PWA/_catalogs/solutions/Forms/AllItems.aspx, it is empty, nothing in there at all.
There is no error in the Manage queue when I publish the site for the first time. However, when I try a second time, there is an error that says the site is already there.

Hi Amit,
I think that did it. So, I think that someone must have deleted the exisiting solutions and didn't add a new one. I created the solution template and associated it with the Basic Plan, and viola!
Thanks so very much with your help with this!!
