Step by Step book.. CD has Read Lock

Question
-
I got SQL Server 2008 book, and need to run a setup to create a folder that has the mdf / ldf setup files.. Trouble is it installed read-lock, and not the simple read lock that you can simply uncheck the Read only check box and hit Apply... I tried this, and although no errors, recheck the properites and the read-only is still checked, it won't budge.
I can not install the mdf /ldf to SQL server with the lock because. If I run the script they give me I get the error "5(Access is denied.)".. If I try to attach the mdf on my own, I can not browse paste the locked folder.
since the lock is on the folders and not the files, I tried creating my own folder & moving the files in.. But the folder then sets up this read-only lock on my folder.
I am just hoping lots of you "in training" folks are doing so thru the Step by Step books, and can guide me on this step.

Thanks, I never did find how to unlock a read-only folder, but I did find how to get into it. I had thought about the permissions and made sure my user had full permissions. Since I log in through Windows Authenticate with this user info I thought that was sufficient. But turned out I needed to set up a different user and give them full permission. I needed to set up the user "NetWork Service".. Not very intuitive.. But I got it..
