no office installed, yet I fail office MGA for outlook express download???? RRS feed

    My HP xp media center was built without office. I have no use for it why should it take up my memory. Yet I do have outlook express on here. Trying to use for first time and wanted to download microsoft office connector to get my hotmail and It won't let me because it says my Office is invalid. How can that be? And what can I do about this stupidity?

    With Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, you can use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 to access and manage your Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail or Microsoft Office Live Mail accounts, including e-mail messages and contacts for free!

    Unless you actually have Microsoft Office Outlook installed on your computer, you cannot install this add-on.  It will not work with Outlook Express.
