Problem with reports after updating Dynamic CRM 2011 to Rollup 17... RRS feed

  • We get the following error when running several reports after applying Rollup 17. 

    Reporting Error

    The report cannot be displayed.(rsRuntimeErrorInExpression

    If I click "Try Again", it tells me "Invalid Argument". Any way to resolve this or do I have to recreate my reports?

  • Check out event log on CRM application server, which will provide more information on this issue/

    following steps to to done to view event log on CRM Server

     Log in to CRM server and reproduce the error
     Go to CRM Application server -> Run – > Type eventvwr
     And check application event log and find the relevant log and this will have actual exception details regarding this problem.

  • It seems that adding ANY type of date/time field to the report layout is what is bombing it. Is there any known issues with date fields? I tried both user created date/time fields and OOTB date/time fields, ALL break the reports.
