Synchronizing custom data between outlook client and crm RRS feed

  • I have some custom fields created for the customer entity. When i create a new customer in the offline mode and populate these custom fields and save it, it gets saved correctly in the crm outlook client. The data is visible when i  reopen the record . But when i synchronize the data with the crm server by taking the client online, these custome fileds do not get saved on the crm server. They appear as blank on the crm server. Does the outlook clien not synchronise custom field data or is there some settings for it.

    The outlook crm client can synchronize custom fields.  Do you have udpate rollup 6 (or the recently released 7)  on the server and client ?

    On the outlook crm client  - did you go back 'online' ?

  • No, i have no update rollups and yes i did go back online. The strange thing is, i created some custom fields in the quote entity as well. They are getting synchronised correctly. But the custom fields in  the quote entity are not.

  • Definately install either update rollup 6 or 7.
