Login ID is defunct - how to change to current e-mail?

    Question

  • My username at http://msdn.microsoft.com is an e-mail address that is no longer valid.  While I remember my password and can log in today, should I forget my password I will not receive the e-mail telling me it has been changed and I cannot find where in my profile to change it.  My login ID is **********@comcast.net but my current e-mail address is **********@verizon.net.  How can I get my login ID changed?

The problem is not that the mail is going to my junk folder or that my alert settings are incorrect; It is that my login ID is no longer a valid e-mail address; I am no longer a customer of Comcast.  I would like to change the e-mail address associated with my profile so that I can maintain my user history.

How can I change my e-mail address?

  • This forum doesn't cover Live ID issues. If you have one, try making a request via this form.

Or report the issue to the WL Forum. Support page.

I would add that I have used the same Live ID for many years to authenticate to Microsoft platforms, and it has never received email. It looks like an email address, but is not valid.

  • Richard Mueller is right that this forum doesn't cover LiveID issues.
