Security Permissions for Status Manager RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Project Server 2010.  I am adding resources as the status manager in Project Pro 2010, and I want to verify the group will have the ability to approve tasks.  What global setting needs to be checked under group info. to allow someone to approve tasks?

  • there is nothing on either link about approving tasks.  i see VIEW approval center. It sounds like "Accept Task Update Requests" is close, but I dont know.

  • The easiest thing to do is to add them to the default Project Managers group. Granting permissions at the user level will simply lead to tears at some point.

  • I want to set group permissions, not user.  We had group settings for groups specific to our company, but the permissions in them are blank (long story).  The plan is to use the custom groups, so I am just trying to identify what actually allows that, some of the settings seem vague. (Basically I am trying to repair the groups)
