Windows 7 build 7600 not genuine. RRS feed

  • Question

  • My laptop's windows was vista before but my mom had reformatted it with windows 7 by an I.T. It's licensed but few day ago it said that it's not genuine. I found some questions related to mine but it still didn't solve mine. When I click "Activate windows now" another window popped out and said "Go online and resolved now" . No activate by phone or something. What can I do?

In practice you're unlikely to be 'found out' - but you'll be unable to get certain updates, or access some of the more advanced parts of Windows itself.
You will also not be able to access any download which requires MS Validation.

No.  You will need to purchase a genuine "Full Version" of Windows 7 and perform a "clean install".  Otherwise, you'll need to reinstall Windows Vista is accordance with the laptop manufacturer's system recovery procedure.  Then you can just purchase a genuine Windows 7 "Upgrade Version" and perform an upgrade to Windows 7.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
